How fitting that a Warlock lives in the City of Voodoo. Be careful no one puts a hex on you. You can just send your pet (Snowlocke) after them.

Just because my Warcraft days are over, doesn't mean I can't play a video game now and then that doesn't require a subscription.

I'm looking for any suggestions/recommendations on good PC video games (no, I don't know a Wii or Playstation).  I recently picked up Painkiller, Bioshock, and Thief 3 (loved the other Thief games).  I also own CoD1&2, which I think are fantastic.  I know all these games are first-person shooter types, but I'm looking for any games that you think are "must play" games.

I was checking out Lego Star Wars, which the demo was awesome!  Also, I do like some problem solving games that are more like Tomb Raider in that has some action as well.

I was a huge Half-Life fan, and was tempted to pickup Half-Life 2.  Has anyboyd ever played that?  Also, I can't seem to find any good space fighting simulation games.  Not sure if anyone ever played X-Wing (super old Star Wars flight sim game), but I'd love to find something similar.

Anyway, let me know if you guys have any games you recommend!

By CoD I assume you aren't talking about CoD4 MW and CoD MW2...those are must play games. Also I don't know if its on the PC but if Borderlands is you have to play it.

All things Bioware should be played, Dragon Age and from what I hear, the Mass Effects... oh and the Knights of the Old Republic if you want to throw the dial on the way back machine.

For city style simulation games I really enjoyed Tropico 3 and Dawn of Discovery, but you really have to like micromanaging city/economy style games.

World of Goo and Crayon Physics are really great creative physics puzzle style games. They're also pretty cheap and adorable. Get these. Play them with your kids.

Regarding X-Wing, I haven't played anythign like that in ages, but I loved them. Supposedly X3 ($30 for a main + expansion) is a decent one of late, but I haven't played so can't really recommend it. Personally my favorite of all time was Longbow 2 but it's ancient. Nothing like teaming up with a friend to play Apache pilot and gunner.

blah, no idea how I made this thread a sticky when I posted it.  Maybe I was trying to make this thread super L33T!!

Malcalypse, I've played the CoD4 demo like a year ago.  I loved it, but wanted to check out the previous versions.  I ended up buying the CoD warchest which had CoD1&2, but then I broke down and got back into Warcraft.  Sadly, Warcraft is been like the primary game I've played for like 4 years.  I'm trying to catch up again   That's probably why I keep bringing up these older games and even these games like Painkiller and Thief, which are old now, but new to me.

I'm definitely going to break down and get the Orange Box.  The other day I was in a Best Buy looking at the PC games and the Orange Box was staring me.  It's only a matter of time.  I also am definitely picking up CoD4, especially now that I think they have CoD5 out now.

I'll check out your recommendations E.  I'm tempted to check out Left4Dead and I'm looking at Assassin's Creed, but they have no demo so I'm too nervous I won't like it.

What I'm loving about borderlands is its a cross between a fps and a rpg....its almost like WoW with guns...lots and lots of guns.

Dragon Age is killer app period, game is amazing. Bioshock 2 should've just came out a bit ago and I can't recall did Fallout 3 see a PC release?

Left4Dead is fun. Assassin's Creed didn't hold my attention that long though. Too much ridiculous hiding and repetition imo. Supposedly the 2nd one is far better though both in terms of storyline and play. And yeah Vest picked up on two I missed, Bioshock (original was a blast) and Fallout 3 are both superb games.

Has anyone played Bioshock 2? I want to say it just came out a few days ago.
